Well done Ying for submitting your thesis!

Ying Y. Luo, our first MPhil student, recently submitted her thesis titled "Messy mangroves: Anthropogenic marine debris in mangroves globally, with an investigation on Hong Kong mangrove debris and its effect on the faunal community". In her thesis she writes that plastic pollution in mangroves is understudied, and that little is known of the effects of marine debris in mangroves. Her thesis addressed this by performing a comprehensive survey of marine debris across Hong Kong and by performing an experiment to understand how marine debris could affect the faunal community of a mangrove. Ying is glad she has submitted her thesis and is excited for what the future may bring.
