The iMEco lab attends the Mangroves Macrobenthos and Management (MMM5) meeting in Singapore
Yes, we were there! Together with ~330 scientists from all over the world, the iMeco lab attended the most important conference for the mangrove global community, MMM52019. From the 1st to the 5th of July, all our members participated in this unmissable event in Singapore, where we presented our researches and advances in mangrove ecology through oral presentations and posters. It was a great time for catching up with the most important scientists in the field, for meeting with postgraduate students of labs from all over the world and for having great time chatting about science over a beer. We also had the pleasure of reuniting with Lyle Vorsatz, a PhD student at the South African Institute for Aquatic Biodiversity (SAIAB), Grahamstown, who visited us last summer to carry out his research on mangrove as habitats of early stage larvae of crabs. The occasion was fruitful for the whole lab and we must congratulate Laura who received a special mention from the Scientific Committee for her oral presentation. Well done Laura!
